Dentists facing cases they never committed should hire a dental attorney to strengthen their defense. Professional help can provide a better form of defense against Board as dentist faces an accusation of any allegations they wish to deny. This is just one of the many cases the dentist from Houston should have known had she only hired a dental attorney to help her.

During the time period from May 8, 2012, through July 18, 2014, the dentist fell below the minimum standard of care in the dental treatment of a patient. Specifically, she:

  1. placed composite restorations on teeth numbers 3, 12, 15, 18, and 19, but the restorations were redone several times by the dentist or replaced by a subsequent treating dentist;
  2. failed to adequately diagnose and treat the patient’s gingivitis, which was treated with scaling and root planning by a subsequent treating dentist; and c. failed in the placement of a crown on tooth number 18.

Subsequently, the dentist fell below the minimum standard of care by failing to make, maintain, and keep adequate dental records on a patient. Specifically, the record does not include documentation of the findings of a tactile and visual examination of the soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity, or an explanation of why the findings were not recorded.

The dentist was given the chance to defend against her case and present herself to the Board. Despite her explanation, the Board placed her under disciplinary action but without any suspension whatsoever. Hiring the right dental attorney for this case would be of great help, knowing that she denied the accusations.
