Dentists facing cases they never committed should hire a dental attorney to strengthen their defense. Professional help can provide a better form of defense against Board as dentist faces an accusation of any allegations they wish to deny. This is just one of the many cases the dentist from Houston should have known had she only hired a dental attorney to help her.
The incident occurred during the time period from on or about August 13, 2014, to February 8, 2016, when a dentist from Houston over-sedated eight minor patients. Specifically, she gave a minor patient 60 mg of Demerol, despite the maximum recommended dose, based on minor patient’s weight, being only 30 mg. Additionally, she gave a minor patient 3 20 mg of Hydroxyzine.
On or about October 3, 2015, the dentist gave minor patient 60 mg of Demerol, despite the maximum recommended dose, based on minor patient’s weight, being only 27 mg.
Additionally, she gave a minor patient 20 mg of Hydroxyzine.
On or about November 24, 2014, the dentist gave a minor patient 50 mg of Demerol, despite the maximum recommended dose, based on a minor patient’s weight, which is 39 mg. Additionally, she gave a minor patient 10 mg of Hydroxyzine.
On or about December 14, 2015, the dentist gave a patient, who was under fifteen (15) years of age at the time, .375 mg of Triazolam, despite the fact that the safety and effectiveness of Triazolam has not been established for individuals under eighteen (18) years of age and the recommended dose of Triazolam for most adults is 25 mg.
The dentist was given the chance to defend against her case and present herself to the Board. Despite her explanation, the Board placed her under disciplinary action but without any suspension whatsoever. Hiring the right dental attorney for this case would be of great help, knowing that she denied the accusations.
