If you also received a letter from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners regarding a case or complaint filed on you, you should hire a dental defense attorney immediately before it’s too late. Texas dental defense attorney Yong J. An is one of those dedicated lawyers who helped various dentists in their cases since 2006.

This is what happened to a certain dentist in Houston in March 2010.

In March 2010, the dentist seated a crown with an open margin. In addition, while performing a pulpotomy, the dentist underfilled the canal. There was no apparent harm to the patient or clinical failure.

On three occasions between September 2009 and March 2010, the dentist’s treatment of three minor patients fell below the minimum standard of care when she failed to use protective stabilization devices and techniques in accordance with the appropriate professional standards and guidelines. Specifically, she failed to terminate use of protective stabilization devices as soon as possible when the termination of the devices was indicated.

On five occasions between July 2009 and March 2010, the dentist’s treatment of five minor patients fell below the minimum standard of care in that she failed to make, maintain, and keep adequate dental records related to use of protective stabilization devices in accordance with the appropriate professional standards and guidelines. Specifically, the dentist’s records do not contain the duration of application of stabilization.

Because of this, an investigation by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners took place. During the Board’s investigation, they did not find that the patient’s death was caused by the dentist’s dental treatment of the patient.

However, with the complaint filed against her and the lack of an experienced dental attorney to explain her side, the dentist was disciplined and suspended.

It’s best to seek the help of a dental defense attorney when facing charges related to this. However, some dentists tend to face these results instead without thinking that dental defense attorneys are always reliable for matters such as these.

If you ever undergo cases such as this, it’s best to seek the assistance of a good dental attorney as it could make the case better in your favor. Be sure to find a dental attorney who’s experienced and knowledgeable in several cases to ensure the best assistance possible.
