An allegation or complaint could be a serious case, which is why a dental attorney is needed if you get accused of this kind of scenario. However, some who thought they were guilty of the charges failed to hire a dental attorney just because they thought it’s the doom for their license already. But that is not entirely the case as there is still hope.

Unfortunately, a dentist from Austin failed to do this which resulted in disciplinary action. Take note that the Board who handles all of the cases may affect the dentist’s license from receiving the suspension, disciplinary action, or revocation. However, with the right dental attorney for the case, rest assured that the case can go according to the dentist’s favor, especially if the dentist has a good defense against the case.

On or about April 1, 2009, to May 27, 2009, the dentist practiced dentistry without a license as her license had expired. In addition, on or about December 2008, she failed to maintain all dental records belonging to her, make a written transfer of records to the succeeding dentist, or make a written agreement for the maintenance of records, and notify the TSBDE within fifteen days of leaving her location or practice.

On or about July 2009, the dentist failed to make dental records available for inspection and reproduction on demand by the officers, agents, or employees of the TSBDE in response to a subpoena.

When summoned, the dentist states that all these occurrences were due to an event in December 2008 when the landlord of her business establishment placed her in default of her lease agreement and locked her out of her business. Although she attempted to negotiate with the landlord, those attempts failed and it took time for her to re-establish her practice. By then, the patients were too upset to continue treatment.

This is the reason why the dentist’s license was disciplined and suspended.
