Dentists facing cases they never committed should hire a dental attorney to strengthen their defense. Professional help can provide a better form of defense against Board as dentist faces an accusation of any allegations they wish to deny. This is just one of the many cases the dentist from Houston should have known had she only hired a dental attorney to help her.

Beginning on or about March of 2008, the dentist fell below the minimum standard of care by failing to make, maintain, and keep adequate dental records on several patients.

Specifically, the records do not include the patients name, date of visit,  reason for visit,  initial vital signs, or an explanation why vital signs were not obtained, written review of medical history and limited review of medical exam, findings and charting of clinical and radiographic oral examination, documentation of radiographs taken and findings deduced from them, including radiograph films or digital reproductions, diagnoses, a treatment plan with recommendations and treatment options signed by the patient; and treatment provided.

Beginning on or about March of 2008, the dentist’s patient records show that she wasted or disposed of 85% of Fentanyl drawn; and wasted or disposed of 2.48 times of the amount of Demerol administered. The dentist was found to be addicted to or habitually intemperate in the use of drugs, including but not limited to Fentanyl and Demerol.

The dentist also has improperly obtained, possessed, used, or distributed habit-forming drugs or narcotics, including but not limited to Fentanyl and Demerol.

The dentist also violated the terms of a prior Texas State Board of Dental Examiners rule by practicing dentistry in a manner that poses a clear, imminent, and continuing threat to a person’s health and well-being.

The dentist was given the chance to defend against her case and present herself to the Board. Despite her explanation, the Board placed her under disciplinary action but without any suspension whatsoever. Hiring the right dental attorney for this case would be of great help, knowing that she denied the accusations.
