Furthermore, the dentist failed to investigate the patient’s deteriorating periodontal condition and failed to advise her of the disease and the treatment required.
The dentist also failed to monitor the patient’s disease and failed to refer her to a periodontal specialist.
The dentist was given the chance to defend against her case and present herself to the Board. Despite her explanation, the Board placed her under disciplinary action but without any suspension whatsoever.
